Qualification and Experience (शैक्षिक और अनुभव आवश्यकता):

(i) Master’s degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation Science from a recognized university/institute with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade and a consistent good academic record;
(ii) At least 15 (Fifteen) years professional experience in a library under Central/State Government/ Autonomous or Statutory organization/ PSU/University or Research/ Educational Institution recognized by Government of India of which at least

1. 2 (Two) years in the pre-revised pay of PB-4(37400-67000) + GP-8700/- corresponding to revised pay at Level-13 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC or equivalent pay.
   OR
2. 6 (Six) years in the pre-revised pay of PB-3(15600-39100) + GP-7600/- corresponding to revised pay at Level-12 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC or equivalent pay.
   OR
3. 11 (Eleven) years in the pre-revised pay of PB-3(15600-39100) + GP-6600/- corresponding to revised pay at Level-11 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC or equivalent pay.

Desirable( वांछनीय योग्यता ):

1. M.Phil/ Ph.D. in Library Science/Information Science/ Documentation is desirable;
2. A post-Graduate degree/diploma in Computer Applications such as PGDCA/PGDLAN from a university or equivalent institute will be an added advantage;
3. An M.Phil/ Ph.D in Archives and Manuscript Keeping, computerization of Library would also be an added advantage.

Pay( वेतन ): Basic Pay Rs.131100/- in the Pay Matrix Level -13A (Rs. 131100 – 216600), plus DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, LTC, Medical facilities etc. as per rules of the Institute. Total Emoluments as on date at the minimum stage would be Rs.1,60,000/- (Rupees One lakh sixty thousand) approx. per month.
