Dr.Bhubaneswar Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati, Assam invited application from the eligible candidates for appointment to the post of Scientific Officer ‘SB’ (Library Science).

Essential Qualification (अनिवार्य शैक्षिक आवश्यकता):

Master Degree  in Library and Information Science / Master of Library Science with 50% marks from a recognised university with consistently good academic record. 
Experience(अनुभव): Minimum 5-7 years post qualification experience as Jr.Librarian  / Assistant Librarian.
Experience in digital environment, good communication skills (written & oral) in English, Strong interpersonal & intrapersonal skills is desirable. 
Need to work in shifts too. Knowledge of computers  & related information technology library management systems. Knowledge of management of e-databases, electronic services & experience of automated  searches is desirable.

Pay( वेतन ):  Level  8 [Pre-revised  PB-2, Rs.9300-34800 + 4800 GP]
Level of Pay in Pay Matrix :Rs.47600/-  Level  8, Cell 1 + Allowances applicable

Age Limit (आयु सीमा): 35 years as on 24.07.2020

Last Date to apply online(अंतिम तारीख): 24.07.2020 ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Extended upto 07.08.2020
Last date for submission of hard copy of online application: 21.08.2020
How to Apply (आवेदन कैसे करे):  

1) Candidate shall submit a recent passport size photograph, attested copies of following certificate as a proof of date of birth, qualification, experience, age relaxation for reserved category & Persons with Disability along with the copy of online application form on or before the last date of receiving the application to the Dr.Bhubaneswar Borooah Cancer Institute, Gopinath Nagar, Guwahati, Assam-781016. It is mandatory to submit a copy of Online application along with copies of relevant certificates, otherwise the candidature will be treated as cancelled.

2) In view of current pandemic scenario candidates may not send the hard copy of online application.

3) Persons working under Central / State Government / Autonomous Body / Semi Government Organisations and other Public Sector Undertakings must obtain the permission from their Head of the Organisation to apply for the post  & to produce the same at the time of Written Examination / Skill test / Interview, failing which they shall not be allowed to appear for  Interview / Written Examination / Skill Test.
