Manohar Parrikar Institute For Defence Studies and Analyses invited applications from eligible candidates for filling the following post:

Post (पद): Librarian cum Information Officer

Essential Qualification and Experience (अनिवार्य शैक्षिक आवश्यकता और अनुभव):

-Master’s Degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade from any recognised university/ institute.

-Computer Knowledge of MS- Office and library software.

Desirable Qualification: PhD / M Phil Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation from any recognised university / institute.

Professional Experience:  

-Experience of at least 10 years in a managerial capacity in a library of any recognised university / institution of higher learning / library of a reputed research organisation.

-Skilled in the usage of advanced library management softwares. Experience of managing hybrid library with vast knowledge of at least electronic resources / databases, use of modern information tools and experience of providing top grade research oriented library services.

-Excellent communication skills.

Pay (वेतनमान): Equivalent to Pay Level 10 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix (Rs. 56,100 – 1,77,500)

Age Limit (आयु): Not more than 50 years as on the last day of the application submission. (Not applicable to current MP-IDSA employees applying for the post.)

Essential Qualification and Experience (अनिवार्य शैक्षिक आवश्यकता और अनुभव):

-Master’s Degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation with at least 50% marks or its equivalent grade from any recognised university/ institute.

-Computer Knowledge of MS- Office and library software.

Desirable Qualification- Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation from any recognised university / institute.

Professional Experience- Experience of at least 5 years in capacity of Library Assistant in a library of any recognised university / institution of higher learning / library of a reputed research organisation.

-Skilled in the usage of advanced library management software.

-Knowledge of managing hybrid library with knowledge of electronic resources / databases, use of modern information tools and experience of providing top grade research oriented library services.

-Excellent communication skills.

Pay (वेतनमान): Equivalent to Pay Level 6 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix (Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400)

Age Limit (आयु):- Not more than 40 years as on the last day of the application submission.

(Not applicable to current MP-IDSA employees applying for the post.)
