Essential:

1. Bachelor Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Service from a recognized University/Institute.

B.Sc. Degree or equivalent from a recognized University and Bachelor Degree or Post Graduate Diploma or equivalent in Library Science from a recognized University or Institute.

With

2. 2 years’ Professional experience in a library of under Central/ State/ Autonomous/ Statutory organization/PSU/University or recognized research and educational institution.

3. Ability to use computers- Hands on experience in office applications, spread sheets and presentations.

Desirable: Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized University or Institute

Pay (वेतनमान): Level-6

Age: Between 21-30 years

Graduation plus Bachelor of Library Science or Master of Library Science or equivalent. Diploma in

Library Science with 6 years’ relevant library experience.

Age(आयु): Not exceeding 32 years

Pay (वेतनमान): ₹ 35400- ₹ 112400 (Level 06 as per 7th CPC)

How To Apply:

-All applications must be accompanied by non-refundable Application Fee of Rs. 1000/- payable through Demand Draft drawn in favor of “Indian Institute of Information Technology Ranchi” and payable at Namkum, Ranchi. Candidates are required to write his/her name, contact number and the post applied for on back side of the Demand Draft, and must attached it with the prescribed application form. The Application Fee is non-refundable.

-The duly completed application form along with self-attested copies of relevant testimonials, certificates, enclosures and fee etc. is required to be sent by speed/registered post to the Registrar, Indian Institute of Information Technology Ranchi, Science and Technology Campus, Sirkha Toli, Namkum, Ranchi- 834010, JH, India. The envelope containing the application be super scribed as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ______________________”and “CATEGORY- UR/SC/ST/OBC/EWS etc.”

-Last date of receiving application is April 28th, 2023(5.00 P.M). Application must be sent by registered post/speed post. Application will not be received by hand at any circumstances. The Institute shall not be responsible under any circumstances for any sort of postal delay. Application received after due date will not be entertained and will be summarily rejected.

Essential Qualification and Experience (अनिवार्य शैक्षिक आवश्यकता और अनुभव):

Officers under the Central/State/U.T. Governments/ Universities/ Statutory, Autonomous Bodies or Research and Development Organizations holding analogous posts on regular basis with at least 5 years of regular service in Pay Level 10 (prerevised PB-3, GP 5400) or 8 years of regular service in Pay Level 6 (pre-revised PB-2, GP 4200), or equivalent and possessing the following qualifications and experience:

Essential: 1) At least a second class Master’s Degree in Science (preferably in Biological Sciences) of a recognized University or equivalent;

2) Degree or equivalent Diploma in Lib. Science of a recognized Institution or University; and

3) 7 years experience in a supervisory capacity in a library of standing.

Desirable:

1) Master’s Degree in Library Science;

2) Training in Medical Librarianship;

3) Experience of Documentation work in a responsible capacity;

4) Knowledge of Sanskrit and any modern European language other than English.

Pay (वेतनमान): Level-11 as per 7th CPC (Pre revised Pay Band: 3 Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay: Rs. 6600/-)
