3 (Three) Posts of Librarian at Public Service Commission, West Bengal: Last Date- 19/08/2019

Applications in the prescribed format are invited from Indian citizens and such other nationals as are declared eligible by Govt. of India for recruitment to the post of Librarian in the Government Engineering and Technological Colleges in WBGS under the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal. 

Post (पद): Librarian

No of posts (रिक्तियों की संख्या): 03-(OBC-1, SC-1, ST-1)

Essential Qualification (अनिवार्य शैक्षिक आवश्यकता): 

A good academic record with at least a high second class (B+) or 55% marks in Master Degree in Library Science or equivalent plus a second class Master Degree in a subject other than Library Science from a recognized University.

Desirable (वांछनीय आवश्यकता):
(i) Good power of expression in Bengali- spoken and written.
(ii) Knowledge in any Indian Language, other than the mother tongue and English.
(iii) Experience in the post of Librarian in any recognized Institution.


Pay (वेतन): Rs.15,600/- – Rs.39,100/- plus Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 6,000/- [ Librarian possessing Ph.D. at entry level after completing service of 4 years in AGP Rs. 6,000/- shall be eligible for higher AGP of Rs. 7,000/- and M. Phil. in L.S. but not Ph.D. shall be eligible for higher AGP of Rs. 7,000/- if completing service of 5 years in AGP Rs. 6,000/-].
