National Institute of Technology (NIT), Agartala invited applications from bonafide citizens of India for the appointment of the posts of Deputy Librarian and Assistant Librarian.

Essential Qualification (अनिवार्य शैक्षिक आवश्यकता):
(i) Master's Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation with CGPA of 6.5 in 10 points scale or at least 60% of the marks or its equivalent grade of 'B' in the UGC seven point scale and a consistently good academic record.
(ii) Qualifying in the national level test such as NET / SLET / SET conducted for the purposed by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.
Experience (अनुà¤à¤µ):
Five years' experience as an Assistant University Librarian / College libranan or an equivalent post with GP of Rs 5400/- or above.
Desirable (वांछनीय आवश्यकता):
(i) Experience (supported with evidence) of innovative Library service and commitment for computerization of library.
(ii) Higher degree (Ph.D. or equivalent ) in a relevant Discipline directly relevant to library Science / Information Science / Documentation.
Age Limit (आयु सीमा): 50 years for direct recruitment
Pay (वेतनमान): Pay Level-12 (PB-3, GP-7600 as per 6th Pay)
(ii) Qualifying in the national level test such as NET / SLET / SET conducted for the purposed by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.

(ii) Qualifying in the national level test such as NET / SLET / SET conducted for the purposed by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.
Desirable (वांछनीय आवश्यकता):
(i) PG DIploma in Library Automation and Networking or PGDCA or equivalent.
(ii) Candidate with higher degree (Ph. D. or equivalent) in a relevant Discipline shall be preferred.
Age Limit (आयु सीमा): 35 years for direct recruitment.
Pay (वेतनमान): Pay Level-10 (PB-3, GP-5400 as per 6th Pay)

(i) Candidature will be considered on receipt of online application by the due date. However, online submission is must before the due date.
(ii) Non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1000/- shall be paid online (debit card / credit card / net banking). The SC / ST cotegory applicant shall pay Rs. 500 - (non-refundable) online. No fee is required from the PwD category applicant.
(iii) Once online application submitted. No subsequent request for change will be considered or granted.
