Thapar University invites applicants for recruitment to the Assistant Librarian and Jr. Library and Information Assistant post 
Post (पद): Assistant Librarian 

Essential Qualification (अनिवार्य शैक्षिक आवश्यकता)  

A Master’s degree in Library Science/ Information Science or Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks (Degree / Diploma in Computer Application, Knowledge of Database Management System, Website Design, Computer Programming,
i. National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like ALET/SET
ii. Desirable: Ph.D. Degree
ii. A consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library
Experience (अनुभव): i. 8-10 years’ experience, preferably in an Engineering Institution of repute as a Senior Library and Information Assistant.
ii. Candidate must have thorough knowledge of Institute related resources and services.

Pay (वेतनमान):Compensation will not be a constraining factor and will be the best in the sector.
Post (पद): Jr. Library and Information Assistant   
Essential Qualification (अनिवार्य शैक्षिक आवश्यकता)  

1. A Bachelor/Master degree in Library Science/ Information Science or Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks.
2. A consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library. Experience(अनुभव): 2-5 years of experience in libraries preferably of an Engineering Institution .
Pay (वेतनमान):Compensation will not be a constraining factor and will be the best in the sector.
