Librarian, Deputy Librarian and Library Assistant at Nalanda University Last Date: 31.08.2026

Nalanda University invites applications for the following post: 

Post (पद): Librarian

Essential Qualification (अनिवार्य शैक्षिक आवश्यकता):

1. Master’s Degree in Library Science/ Information Science/Documentation Science with at least 55% of marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed. 

2. A minimum of ten years of experience at the level of Assistant Librarian/Deputy Librarian/Additional Librarian in a University / College / Indian or Foreign Research Institution of comparable standards, of which at least three years should be at the level of a Deputy Librarian/Additional Librarian. 

3. Evidence of innovative Library services, including the integration of ICT in a library. 

4. A Ph.D. Degree in library science/ documentation/ archives and manuscript keeping. 

Pay (वेतनमान): (USD 30,000-45,000) per annum

Post (पद): Deputy Librarian

Essential Qualification (अनिवार्य शैक्षिक आवश्यकता):

1. Master’s degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ documentation science, with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed. 

2. Eight year’s experience as an Assistant University Librarian/ College Librarian. 

3. Evidence of innovative library services including integration of ICT in library. 

4. A Ph.D. Degree in library science / information science/ Documentation Science/ Archives and manuscript keeping/ computerization of library 

Pay (वेतनमान): (USD 18,000-30,000) per annum

Post (पद): Library Assistant 

Essential Qualification (अनिवार्य शैक्षिक आवश्यकता):

Master’s Degree in Library & Information Science from any recognized University /Institution with 02 years’ experience in the relevant field in a University/Research establishment / Central / State Govt. / PSU and Library of other autonomous Institutions. 

OR  

Bachelor’s Degree in Library / Library and Information Science from any recognized Institute/ University with 03 years’ experience in the relevant field in a University / Research Establishment / Central / State Govt. / PSU and Library of other autonomous Institutions. Knowledge of Computer Applications. 

Pay (वेतनमान): (6,000-11,000) per annum
