Educational Qualification( शैक्षिक आवश्यकता ):
1. Master's Degree in Library science/ information science /documentation or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of 55% marks where grading system is practiced and a consistently good academic record with knowledge on computerization on library.
2. Qualifying National Eligibility Test (NET) or other test like SLET/SET approved by UGC.
3. Holders of Ph.D degree as on the date of notification of these regulations, alongwith those candidates who are awarded with Ph.D degree through a process shall be exempted fro NET/SLET/SET.
4. NET can relaxed for candidates having first class Master of Library science/ information science /documentation
