Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) invited applications from eligible candidates for filling up the following post:

Post (पद): Junior Library Assistant 

No. of Posts(रिक्तियों की संख्या): 02 (UR-1; OBC-1)

Essential Qualification and Experience (अनिवार्य शैक्षिक आवश्यकता और अनुभव):

Essential: Diploma in Library & Info. Science with 55% marks with Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline OR Two years’ degree in M. Lib. & Info. Sc. (Integrated) with 55% marks.  

Desirable: Hands-on experience of Computer Applications in a Library of repute. 

Age(आयु): 30 years

Pay (वेतनमान): Level-3

Last date of submission of online application (आवेदन की अंतिम तारीख): 10.08.2026

How To Apply: 

The candidates are required to submit the application through Samarth Online Portal only (https://iitbhunt.samarth.edu.in). The online portal shall remain open from 25.08.2026 to 24.09.2026 (till 05:00 PM). No other method of submission of application shall be entertained.  

IMPORTANT: After successful online submission of application, the printout of the submitted application form, along with all relevant supporting documents, must also be sent in a sealed envelope by Speed Post to The Registrar, IIT (BHU), Varanasi – 221005. The sealed envelope shall be superscribed with application form number, advertisement number, and the name and code of the post for which the application is being submitted. Further, a printout of the application form must be obtained and preserved for future reference. It may be required at the time of document verification/interview.
