Essential Qualification (अनिवार्य शैक्षिक आवश्यकता) 

Master's Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation with at least 55% marks, or an equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven-point scale and consistently good academic record as prescribed under the appropriate UGC regulations.

Essential Experience

Minimum 18 years of post-qualification experience in reputed libraries as College Librarian / Assistant Librarian, OR at least 13 years of experience as Deputy Librarian or equivalent in Pay Matrix Level 12 in a reputed institution or university.

Evidence of innovative library services and organization of published work.

Desirable Qualifications

M.Phil. / Ph.D. in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation / Archives and Manuscript Keeping, computerization of library.

Pay Scale: Level 14 of the Pay Matrix: ₹1,44,200–₹2,18,200/-, plus other allowances as admissible.

Age: Preferably below 57 years.
